I was in Vietnam from Wednesday to Sunday last week, so I only set two goals. Let’s see how I went. ✅ Finish the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction Form All done! Form 172A is live and ready to be filled out. Should you need to prove to someone that you have no criminal conviction in Hong Kong. ❌ Eat Dog Food Still haven’t done this, which is a bit ridiculous because all I have to do is use my app, fill in the form, print it out and take it to the Transport Department office in Admiralty.

Let’s see how that went. ✅ Pressure friends to fill out a form This was easy, I messaged a bunch of friends on Facebook and asked them to fill out the form. They did and it mostly worked. I noticed a few errors doing this. Easy peasy. ❌ Buy Facebook Ads I didn’t do this. My Facebook Advertising account was banned for past indiscretions.

A friend of mine is a digital nomad, and he was in Taipei for a few weeks. Feeling a bit bored and in the mood to do some traveling I flew over to visit him. Back in 2019 this friend left Hong Kong and asked me to hold onto his snowboard for him. Since I was going to see him, he asked me to carry over his snowboard. I agreed, but then when I picked it up I realised it was very heavy and I didn’t want to carry it on the plane.

Yesterday I launched AngusForm, and after that I set up some Google Search advertisements. Unfortunately AngusForms.com does not comply with some of their rules. Apparently websites that provide government related services cannot advertise with Google unless they’re approved by the government. This leaves me with two options: Get approval from the Government Get users some other way Get approval from the Government Yeah right. Get users some other way There are lots of other ways to get users to try my app.

I started working on Angus Form on May 11th 2023, about a month later it’s live and ready for people to use. What is AngusForm? A website that allows you to fill in forms online, forms that previously required you to deliver in person. Why make AngusForm? I noticed a lot of Hong Kong government forms require you to fill in a PDF, print it, sign it, bring it to a government office and wait a lot.
